BACK TO SCHOOL IN STYLE
We're less than a month away from the new school year, and the Salvation Army needs your help collecting school supplies for about hundreds children in need.
Purchasing all the required school supplies can be difficult for some parents, especially when more than one child is going to school. For that reason, the Salvation Army and Fred Meyer are working together to get kids what the need to start school. They need pencils, folders, crayons, glue and any other school supplies you can fit in a backpack.
"When they're on such a low income and fixed income, just that extra dollar for school supplies helps. So, they are just overwhelmed with the supplies they do get. That's going to loosen their budget a little bit," said Captain Julie with Salvation Army in Longview.
From July 22 to August 23 you may purchase and donate back to school items at Fred Myer located at 3184 Ocean Beach Hwy.
